Rainbow
Every colour at once, on the table, in the balloons and on the cake.
Best for ages 1 to 8
A rainbow party works for any age and any child, because there is no character to get wrong. Every colour goes, which makes it the easiest theme to shop for: a rainbow balloon arch, a striped tablecloth and fruit skewers in colour order.
The games are about colours too. A colour hunt around the house, a rainbow relay with coloured beanbags and a sorting race for the youngest guests fill the afternoon, and a layered cake cut at the end is the big reveal.
